How to apply and remove the Keratin Pre-Tipped Nail Hair Extensions – Watch Instructional VideoApplying keratin hair extensions are fairly easy, although they are a recommended method to be applied by a professional or those who are extremely confident of doing the job safely and correctly, due to the fact that heat is used, so there is another person in danger of being burnt should you accidentally slip. There is also the issue that if you place the extension wrongly, it could be a wasted piece if you do not have extra keratin protein on hand to re-do it. To remove keratin extensions, simply dab a cotton ball into a small amount of acetone, and place around the keratin bond. Roll this back and forth until the bond loosens and simply turns to a powder and falls away, leaving just the extension removed from your hair! Your own hair will appear normal and clean and healthy, as if there were never an extension attached to it!
Do I have to be a hair extensions specialist to apply them?As mentioned above, it is recommended to have a professional or someone who is very confident to apply Keratin pre-Tipped Hair Extensions.
What is keratin, and will it damage my hair?Keratin is an extremely strong protein which is a major component in hair. There is hard keratin and soft keratin. Soft keratin breaks down easily, whereas hard keratin is extremely resilient and resistant to degradation. Our hair fibre is mostly made from hard keratin proteins. Using Keratin hair extensions means you are using the same protein that is already in your own hair, to attach new hair! There is no risk or damage to your own hair at all, and you can relax in the knowledge that you are doing your hair a favour by choosing the most natural hair extensions to adorn it with.
Will this method damage my hair?Unlike most other long term hair extension methods, the Keratin Pre-Tipped Hair Extensions technique has zero to minimal damage potential. To this day it is unheard of for anyone to have complained of having damaged hair from using this method. Dennipep undertake extensive research and testing procedures to ensure we put our brand on only the best and non-damaging hair extension methods, and the keratin pre-tipped method is right up there along with the micro ring technique.
Will I see or feel the attachments in my head? Not at all. If you follow the placement guideline in the image above, you will not notice them at all. The keratin bond is very small and undetectable. The extensions are also very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
How long will they last?Up to 3 months with proper care. Of course they can last much longer, but it is only due to your regrowth of your natural hair that you would have to remove them. Follow our "how to care for your Keratin Pre-Tipped Hair Extensions” to get the most out of your extensions.

How do I pick the right colour for me?There are 4 easy ways we can get the hair colour right for you.
How to care for your keratin pre-tipped nail hair extensionsWASHING - We recommend that you use a color safe shampoo and conditioner from your local supermarket (VO5) or preferably the higher quality ones from your salon professional stockist. To wash the hair, start by wetting your hair and running your fingers through it in a downwards motion to free up your hair. Be sure not to pull too hard on the hair as this will only cause tension on not only the extensions, but your own hair. It is a good idea to just place one hand at the top of the extensions, and hold them whilst using the other hand to run your fingers through it. Then using a comb, still holding the hair with one hand, gently work the comb through the hair from bottom to roots. Next, apply shampoo to the scalp. Using your fingers in a downwards motion, massage from your scalp and down the hair shaft. Don’t scrunch the hair whilst washing. Just work down the shaft. Apply the conditioner to the scalp and work it down the shaft with your fingers. Next, grab the comb, and holding the hair at the top again, gently begin at the bottom and work your way to the roots. When done, rinse out the conditioner. Pat dry your hair, and let air dry or blow dry. As with your own hair, do not iron hair until it is completely dry.
BED - It is recommended that you do not go to bed with wet hair. To keep hair neat and tidy when you go to bed, we recommend that you braid / plait it, and wrap it with a silk or satin cover for best results. This stops it rubbing on your pillow throughout the night, preventing ‘bed hair’. If you have no wrap, simply leave it braided or tied.
HAIR CARE - We recommend the use of a serum or leave in conditioner to keep your hair soft. Only use the recommended amount advised on each product. Excessive amounts can actually have undesired results.
